My Asbell wool stable is starting to grow!
« on: January 31, 2013, 05:26:00 PM »
I recently picked up 2 more pieces of Asbell wool at the Kalamazoo show last weekend to go with my Evening Stand brown vest! I bought a Cedar Swamp Green zip jacket, I love this coat and the pattern can't wait to hunt with it! I also bought a brown/black pullover on the closeout rack, but I made a trade for the Red blanket shirt in the pic, that piece is an older Asbell piece that my son purchased in Kazoo 3yrs ago! i already have my eye on some of the NEW vest patterns that she had there! Great product from great people!

I've got a growing pile of Teresa's wool too. The quality for the price is amazing.

I just got my first piece. Zippered hooded jacket. I think a vest is next. Nice stuff. Now to figure out how to stay warm in it when the wind is blowing and temps really drop. Should be nice for fall.  I have not used wool for anything but hats, gloves, and socks in 30 years.

Todd, Teresa's windblocker fleece vests are the bomb!

I would like to see what it would take to get her to make a pair of windblock pants.

I've sent 2 emails to inquire about the wool but none have been answered.  Hoping they are just out of town.  Can you get a zip up jacket without the hood?

My one a couple of years ago has now turned into three. They seem to multiply like rabbits once you get one.

Ya, I like the heavy vests. When moving I dont wear it. Pull it out when I get someplace I want to sit a bit. Works real good at keeping your core warm, especially with a wind blocker of some sort over it. As for the poncho, sure would be nice and cozy but I cant figger a way to get it out of the way to shoot without alot of movement, and like I said I like to wear a wind block over my wool. That seems to work best for me.
