« on: February 02, 2013, 05:20:00 PM »
Newbie alert...I just received in the mail my new Maddog longbow and I'm wanting to shoot woods out of it. It's 63". 55# at 28". Id like to have an around 29"- 29-1/2" with 125gr tips. What would be a good setup? 50-55 or 55-60"

If your using Douglas Fir (at 29-29.5)I would go with a 65# and add more head weight. like a 160grn head. A full length shaft is like 31" long. if you do the 125grn head 55-60 would be the ticket.Cutting the 1.5" would bring it close .
