Still after them!
« on: February 03, 2013, 04:26:00 PM »
We have a long bow season here in La. Opens Oct 1st and runs till Feb 15th. Yesterday myself and a friend were doing some scouting and like always I was packing my recurve. We had split up and I was slipping down the edge of a slough. My friend must have bumped this big ole girl and she ran right to me. She stopped in the right place and I was fortunate to make a good shot. She ran about 60 yards and was done...

Rick, I'm near Franklin. I have a houseboat out there. Love going hunt and fish in the basin.
Where did you hunt?

Now that is the way to scout! Congrats!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
