I've been selling some wool sweaters in the classifieds and delivered a couple to another TG'er at the K'zoo Expo. I took the $20 to the B4K both and bought some raffle tickets for their fund raising package. On the Sunday drive home, I got a call that they had drawn my ticket. The package arrived Friday and I picked it up Saturday morning. Inside was a short brim retro camo hat and a nifty pocket camera mount donated by Spinrite Cresters; a really cool wood bow quiver by Cherokee Slims; a special #8 of 12 footed arrow by Bob Clarady; and a Shrew Classic Hunter from Gregg Coffee. The Shrew is 54" and 52 lb @ 28" with a bocote and phenolic riser and limbs with bamboo and carbon core and bocote veneers with kudu horn tips. I finally had the chance this afternoon to introduce the Shrew to some fir arrows and my basement target bag. I'm not really a short bow guy, but I think we'll manage to get along.
Many thanks to Gregg Coffee, Dan Worden, Edwin Burgess, Bob Clarady and the other ticket buyers for their support of B4K, to Andy and Linda Gehringer for their tireless efforts in support of B4K and to the Benefit 4 Kids organization for the dreams come true they provide to these children so deserving.
