Terry,

I am not a hunter as you know, but I am completely addicted to traditional archery and there is no cure my doctor told me....  :)  (if there was, I wouldn't take the medicins)
Anyhow, I visit my brothers and sister of the bow everyday and I not only learned a lot on Tradgang, but I met some friends here and TG is a comfort when I am too ill to shoot due to my MS.
Not to mention the great sponsors here who sell great products and all give an outstanding service.

Thanks a lot for a great job!

Like many, this is my escape from a world of rudeness, greed, and selfishness.  Whenever I need to "depressurize" and unwind, Tradgang is my sanctuary.  If more businesses out there would model how folks treat each other here, the country would be in a lot better shape, IMO.

At the risk of sounding all mushing and everything.

I LOVE TRADGANG TOO!

I went to one of the other sites, (just once!). When I started reading the bashing I was out of there. I don't remember why I even went there to begin with!

There are other sotes that talk about traditional stuff?  :saywhat:   I have never had the need to go anywhere else fo rmy trad addiction.  Once I found this site I never felt the need.  Why cross the street to the sketchy bar when I am already in a place with the freindliest, most helpful and honest people I have ever met already are.  Kudo's to the boucers who have to keep the riff raff out.  Most of us never know what they have to do or deal with.  Thanks again!

Glad you came back home, Ed. This site is just as important to me as a social event as it is for the technical bowhunting/archery info. I feel at ease listening to others opinions and stating my own without concerns about some clown rudely "setting me straight" simply because we don't agree on a given point.

The tales are entertaining, the debate civil, technical info is helpful, and the emphasis is on personal ethics and sportsmanship. I like that.

Terry, don't worry about what some of the guys on other sites say. Remember, many people often speak forcefully and eloquently about that which they do not know.

Terry,

This is slightly off topic, but is your regimen posted somewhere?  I'm always interested in new exercise regimen, particularly ones related to archery.

I'll add that I enjoy Tradgang.  I've learned a ton, and the participants are just good people. I've had the privilege of personally meeting 7 tradgangers, and each one of them have been great people.

I could not agree more. These are some of the best people you will ever meet! This is a place that makes me feel like I am back in my small town where I grew up. Great people with great attitudes.

BartCanoe,

What worked for me was going up 10#s and 'working out' with it....both right an left handed.

I drew the bow to anchor 3 sets of 8 reps every other day....once I got to do that comfortable....I did the same thing but would hold at full draw for 3 seconds.....then once I could do that comfortably I'd hold to 6 seconds.

Then I would move to 4 sets of 10 the same regiment. Only once I could do that did I start shooting the bow at targets.

Remember, that's both right an left handed.

You must rest every other day so your muscles can rebuild.

If you are going to do it correctly, it takes time and effort and sticking to what ever program you chose. Once you get through with your regiment and you start shooting targets, you will be amazed at how effortlessly it will be.

Not that complicated huh?

Trad Gang is the only form I visit now.  I recently got so fed up with another popular form that I deleted it from my Favorites.  I was hoping I could figure out a way to delete my entire profile from there but couldn't.

Excellent job Terry and co.

A very appreciated site that has stayed true too it's roots. Thank you Terry and the moderators.

Could not have said it any better Sam. That is exactly why this is a great site.

Terry,

One more question; do you continue to shoot targets with a lighter bow while going through your regimen?

A good Trad Gang Story...... I traveled 4 1/2 hours today for work and while shooting the bull with the guys down there one of them says a guy in the office shoots a longbow. Sure enough we get talking and not only did he retire from my organization, he's a fellow Trad Ganger. We exchanged contact info and he's already sent me a PM so we can stay in touch. Thanks Trad Gang members and especially the moderators for keeping such a great site up and running.

Anytime I do a Google search looking for an answer I always seem to end up here, so I finally joined.  There is a wealth of information on this site.
