Treadway Longbows?
« on: February 05, 2013, 07:13:00 AM »
I am getting back into "traditional" and looking for a good overall longbow and have a opportunity at a custom Mike Treadway. Can someone give me some overall opinions and reviews on these longbows? Thank you very much....

Can't go wrong with a Treadway. Alot of bow for about half the price of most customs. They will shoot right with them as well. Which model are you looking at???

Not only are his bows exceptional, but Mike is a great guy too.  He regulary attends our club shoots and is a wealth of knowledge.

You will not be disappointed with his bows.

they are among the best in every way,  if you find one you like, buy it.. Mike is way over year out, and thats if he will take an order.  I know he is tapering back on taking new orders.

What everybody else has said.  I own 2 Black Swamps and couldn't be happier with them and I own/have owned some of the very best bows made and none surpass my Black Swamps.  Performance and quality is top notch in every way. That's why old Mike is always "swamped" with orders even though the guy has no web site, e-mail, or advertising.  When you get a year back ordered as he was on my last order and it's all word of mouth advertising, you know the guy has a quality product.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

I own 3 of Mike's bows.  If you have an opportunity to get one, don't hesitate, his bows are very fine.  You will not be disappointed.
