Bear bow quiver and arrows and stuff from garage sale
« on: February 07, 2013, 06:03:00 PM »
Here's some garage sale stuff i got. Bear 8 arrow quiver and 7 old arrows with Bear Razor heads and bleeders. Is there any way to date these? What about the shafts? they are matt green with no markings and the heads are just glued on. Any ideas about them or the unlabeled other quiver, or unnamed recurve weight? The simple bow quiver from Adirondack Archery in Dolgeville NY was only $2.88 new the price is still on it.

doesn't look like the pics posted only the link to
flicker any ideas how I can post the pics direct my photobucket isn't working

Nice find!  The unknown quiver is Bear's 4 arrow tape on circa '72ish that replaced the leathertop tape on quiver.  Your bow weight is a Bear hunting stabilizer with the snap on cover to kill any reflections, also '72ish.  I'm not home otherwise icould nail down the dates a little better but I think both came out in 1971.  The Razorheads are the '64 on model, very common.  The 8 arrow quiver is the same timeline, that model came out in the early seventies along with the Mag T/d's.

no they are aluminum, but no markings just mat O.D.
I wonder what if these are early aluminum shafts the razor heads are glued on.

Sweet!  I'm like Butternutz, I don't ever find the good deals like some of you.  Guess I don't put my time into looking as much either.  That could have something to do with it.     "[dntthnk]"
