New Hunting camp
« on: February 16, 2013, 07:25:00 PM »
Finally got got out into the woods today. With work and more work around the house there just wasn't time.
So I did a long distance recon this afternoon. Found a really nice looking area and decided..."This is it"
So I put a claim stick in the ground and started building    :knothead:

New hunting camp...read debris shelter

Dave - thanks for posting, looks good.

Jack - don't worry about the snow - two weeks ago I made a 3 foot wall of snow to block the wind, built a nice fire and cooked a nice rabbit - it was a good Sunday.

Somebody's been watching too much Dual Survival, way too much, LOL!  If I slept in that, I'd better have a chiropractor on speed dial.   I'd probably blow out a knee just crawling in it.  Just kidding, enjoy your youth, for it too shall pass.

Thanks!

Old school for sure!  Enjoy! I'd need a chiropractor after one night spent too.

Cool shelter, but you better tighten up that fire pit.....forest fire waiting to happen right there....  :knothead:

Already in the works Roger, that fire was just there that day during the build. I'll be making an actual pit on the next visit.
