Barge cement or I also use soft part of Velcro for my rest and it has its on adhesive. Just peel and stick and no waiting for glue to dry. You can get a lot of rest for your money.

Shoe goo, sticks good and removes easily when you want a new rug.

Similar to shoe goo I use silicone caulk. I like smooth leather plates so I just rub a thin film on the back of the leather and put it on. This gives you some adjusting time if you want to move it just a tad and its ready to go after leaving it overnight.

I use the double sided tape that is used for golf club grips.  It is very thin and when you remove the rest you can rub off the tape residue with your thumb.  It is also very inexpensive.

I also use double sided tape.  If you have trouble getting it to stick to porus material (like the flesh side of leather) put a layer of glue on first and let it completely dry, then apply the tape.

Problem with Barge cement is, It's very difficult to get a small amount of it in the yellow can, which is the original. the new blue  packaged barge cement I have heard bad things about.

I heard failure, just doesn't hold as well as the yellow did, the information came from other Tradgangers here.
