How do you guys attach them to your strings without hurting performance?

I just split the bundles on the string and slip the ends in. When the string tightens it holds them fine

Anything added to the string will have an effect.
You may want to do a little tuning after they've been added.

Separate the string and put one end of the BB in, then wrap around the string going down or up.
Then separate the string again and insert the other end of the BB.

What I ended up doing was to soak them in water until they were soft really soft. I trimmed the end so that only the hide was there. I then separated the sting inserted one end and wrapped them in the direction of the twists of the string. After wrapping was complete I put the other end through the sting. They were tight and after a few arrows were dry and came out great.
Thanks guys….
