Bear Super Kodiak ID question
« on: February 22, 2013, 05:54:00 PM »
Hello all...

Can anyone help me ID the year of this bow? Got it at a yard sale years ago. A bit too beat up to be a shooter I think (plus it's a leftie, and I shoot RH), but I'd like to know a bit more about it. It says a 1953 on it, but I'm not sure if that's a patent or a production date.

Awesome!  Thanks for the info, and the lead to the article, which has definatly peaked my interest in Bear bows. I've always loved the way the Kodiak felt in my hand (even if it was the wrong hand....). Now the search for a RH shooter begins.

Thanks again!

Rusty, doesn't look to beat up to me. These are nice bows and you should have no problem trading it for a righty.
Good find..Henry

I would say 1969 due to the fact it says grayling mich.

@ Henry,

Maybe I'll post some more pictures over in the classified section and see if anyone has something RH they want to trade.... as much as I like just looking at pretty things, it's much more fun if you can use them, too.

Thanks again for everyone's input!
