Which Bow Do I Shoot First?
« on: August 23, 2007, 11:12:00 AM »
When I go to the Archery Shop Saturday to shoot I may well have 3 new bows there waiting to be shot.  My Cook's Mountain Archery MultiCam recurve shipped Monday.  It for sure will be there.

My prototype Turkey Creek 3-PC longbow shipped Tuesday and it, too, should be there.

And I received an email from Elmer Patton last night telling me he had completed the draw weight reduction on my new Crow Creek black Feather to 48#@28" and he put it in the mail yesterday.  It should arrive on Friday.

Choices, choices, what's a man to do?

Bill,

Have you not learned to spread your bow arrivals out over time so this situation does not happen?  :knothead:

It is obvious you will not be able to give each bow the individual attention and care it deserves.

I really feel sorry for you...  :biglaugh:

Lon,

I ordered the MultiCam about 6 weeks ago.  I saw the Turkey Creek Prototype about 4 weeks ago and couldn't resist it.  Then Elmer Patton some pics of the Black Feather and I HAD to have it when I saw all of that Bocote!     :biglaugh:

Here's a view of the Black Feather from the other side.

I'll help you out Bill. Just send anyone of them to me for attention and that way you only have two to deal with.   :D

Ugh...What a horrible situation to be in!

I would say shoot the pretty one first, but that wouldn't help at all.  :bigsmyl:  Have fun!

Actually, I'm going to be shooting them on Saturday.  The first one I'll open and look at is the Black Feather.  Then I'll open, assemble, setup and shoot the MultiCam.  And lastly I'll open, assemble, setup and shoot the Turkey Creek Prototype.

I've got to decide between now and the end of October which two I'll be taking to IL for a week of deer hunting.  Or, I may decide to take all three in hopes of blooding each of them on a buck and a couple of does!

On the other hand, I don't know if I can carry the Black Feather into the woods.  I would hate to lay it down and not be able to find it again!

Greg,

No, sympathy would not appropriately enter into this topic of discussion.  I would, however, like to take this opportunity to congratulate three bowyers, Roy Coursey, Doug Witcher and Elmer Patton, on the outstanding bows they have built and I have had the privilege of purchasing.

Yes, Saturday will be a fun filled day!

Sure sounds like a tough situation to be. If only the rest of us had it so tough, LOL.
Shipping to a bow shop sounds like a safe way to ensure you see next years anniversary at least.
Best of luck- they all look like beautys!!

Each of your bows in its own right is beautiful. Besides all that time shooting just think how much time you need to put in reporting back here on how they performed

Bob,

They didn't start working on my Harrier until this past Monday.  It won't be completed until the middle of September, if they hit they correct weight.

I talked to Budro today and verified the MultiCam and Turkey Creek LB had arrived.  The Crow Creek should arrive tomorrow.  I told him I'd see him Saturday and he said "Yeah man!"     ;)      :D

Bill, pick one and shoot it and only it. It has taken me more bows than most to realize that. I am now a two bow guy and one is a back-up. Shawn
