Nope.....I'm like Joe, I usualy end up over sleeping LOL.

Over the years I've gotten real good at shooting (or missing      )  deer on the way in to my stand.
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

May The Great Spirit Guide Your Arrows..... Happy Hunting!!!

I left for my bear hunt at 6:00 PM rather than 3:00 AM because I got so antsy I just could not sit still.

Ambien, or I won't sleep an hour the night before a big hunt.

I use to be that way..
The older I get it's harder for me  to get out of bed..
Seems like I always take bigger bucks in bed.  :bigsmyl:
Easier to get out also   :bigsmyl:

I remember doing that as a kid.I hope it never ends.I can't think of anything else that has that effect on me.My grand daddy did all his life.In camp we would just lay there and talk.everyone else would be snoring. Those were the days.I hope I always do.

my season opens the 30th of this month. I am going to do a morning hunt and will have to cross part of a river to get to where I want to be; so I am not going to go to bed the night before.
I will sneak in by 4:30; I am sure my cold feet etc will keep me awake for the 6 am show. Then if I don't get a shot; I will return for some zzzzzz's
Then off to the evening hunt.
I am having trouble sleeping already  :)

Have always had a tough time sleeping before opening day.Guess the day that I don't have the anticipation will be the day I take up golf, like h***!!!
Good luck to everyone this fall and stay safe.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Heck...I get excited for squirrel or rabbit hunting and have a hardtime sleeping.  Doesn't have to be anything big for me!
