Curious find
« on: March 03, 2013, 06:01:00 AM »
A rabbit hunter found this rack and bones in a thicket about 300 yards from where I hit one back in late Oct. will never know if its the buck I stuck or not but was a neat find nonetheless.

You must have some great deer on the property you hunt if a rack like that was not burned into your memory.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

I'm surprised the rabbit hunter turned it over.

Thats a nice buck, I love the heft in the G3's.

right clicking on your picture, Mike, says its 640 wide, so you should be good.

If I even saw a deer that big where I hunt, they'd find me dead from a heart attack!

Good gracious!

Yes and no. The buck I shot at Was last light. Could see the deer good but could not count the points. Similar rack configuration.
The rabbit hunter is a co- worker and said that if I thought it was my deer then he would give it to me. Well, I can't say yea or ney so I declined his generous offer.
