Kanati Dual ARC Bow Quiver
« on: March 03, 2013, 07:36:00 PM »
I am thinking of buying a Kanati Dual ARC Quiver, has anyone used the three blade VPA broadheads in this quiver?  How is the fit and can you get four VPA in this quiver?

Yep, I can get five in mine with no problem.  I used an old 3 blade and heated it with a torch and burnt the holes. I try and put them back the same way every time. It saves on the hood foam.

That is a great idea!
I wish I read this before I messed up a bunch of foam...

How do you guys fit five in?

I have a Kanati Pro and a Kanati Angle, I can only fit 4 VPA 3 blades, and definitely can't fit Snuffers in.

4 will fit just fine with a little room to spare in my experience.  Take the time to line them up with the old holes and it'll keep the edges far from each other and keep your foam from being cut up too bad.

Maybe this is explained by the fact that they make 4 and 5 arrow for most models.     :D      Gonna get one of these soon - really like the adjustability and the pro model - oh and I can fit 4 VPAs (even the 1.25") in the 4 model.

You'll like the quiver, it offers more adjustment options than anything on the market.

I really like the quick detachment strap that he has on the Dual Arc...You can take it off in a matter of 5 seconds and back on in about the same time...Very well thought out design if you go with that set up...

Forgot to mention that the hanger on the hood is a very nice added feature also if you want to hang the bow to free your arms for awhile...

Can't comment on the VPA's, getting some later this month, but I do love the quiver. I played with the adjustments a while and love the way it balanced my bow, also made it noticeable quieter. Awesome product!

Just ordered mine this past weekend.  Should have it by Friday of this week.  If the quality is as good as my slim Jim I know I won't be disappointed.

Wanted an extra arrow in my quiver for my September moose hunt.  Note that they do not come in a true 5 arrow arrangement.  You can get the 4 arrow with their arrow buddy that allows a 5 arrow but its not a true 5 arrow quiver.

Tater,

I think standard is 4 arrow hood, but I've been told a 5 arrow hood can be ordered in the Pro model, not just the buddy/quick-attach (and it says 5 arrow model on the website for different models).

But I could be mistaken and like 4's better anyway.

Yep. I just happen to have a couple of 5 and 6 arrow grippers from old kanati quivers. I use one of the 5's on mine. to get 5 or even 6 in it, you can't go with the holes that come pre drilled in the foam. You got to kinda do some pre planning but they will go without touching each other.

Unless Im mistaken somehow....I just asked john if it came in 5 arrow and he said no only the 4 arrow with arrow buddy.   I also got the pro hood.  I really wanted 5 arrow.....    :(

That's what I thought. TO get 5 arrows in you need to make your own holes not the ones John puts in them.

Michael,
If you are worried you may mess up the foam you can always buy a spare foam from John or just go and buy a set of those foam Yoga blocks that are 6" x9" and 4" thick with the same type of foam used in the rinehart 18-1 targets..That's what they feel like to me anyway.....
Just cut with a bandsaw, hacksaw, mitersaw or whatever you have and shape it with a bench sander or rasp to fit the quiver hood..They make a leather goop or plumbers goop that will hold the foam in place ... You can get 2 blocks for under $10.00 for the pair if you shop around for them and can make about 15 to 20 hood foam replacements... Just search "Yoga block"....
Now you can have a 5 arrow quiver and have your piggy backer as well...

The bow on the left is mine. regular size hood. 5 vpa's in it. I know it's a pro model but if you take out two screws, the gripper will come off and will fit on the dual arc. So there you go. 5 arrow quiver.

Or how about a 6 arrow?
