Well after waiting for what seems like forever, my new bow is here!
I've owned a number of bows now but I just can't shoot any of them as good as the bows Mark Horne builds. This will make the 5th bow of his I've owned and it's beautiful. I wanted a one piece brush bow design. It has dark cocobolo veneers and a combination of cocobolo and gaboon in the handle. 62", 50@28 with carbon core limbs.
Here is the block of cocobolo we had been attempting to source forever. As you can see it's dark red with burl throughout.
Now for the finished product. I like a dark bow and this one fits the bill. I'm amazed at how few imperfections Mark was able to get in the glass too.

I don't want to overwhelm with pictures but the cocobolo is very dark indoors but glows in the sunlight.
Can't wait to get it out and try it on a real pig!
