When I started shooting traditional again last spring I noticed the shoulder of my bow arm was really giving me problems high in the back. I'd stop shooting for awhile and it would get better. As soon as I started up again shoulder pain again. I was thinking the trad thing was not gong to work until I realized it was my bad draw that was causing the problem. Come to find out instead of pulling straight back with my shoulders I was kind of pulling out away from my body with my arm and then moving into my anchor position. Puling away was putting pressure of my left shoulder. I have always did this with my compound shooting but was able to get away with it. Not so with the recurve. Not only was I hurting my shoulder I was getting very inconsistent arrow flight since I was plucking the string on release. Glad with a little help on this board I was able to figure it out before I ended up at the orthopedics again.
