Received a very nice Scent Lok Boonie hat from Ben Michels.  Thank you sir!  I'll work on finding that big ole buck and possibly a big ole elk up in CO with it this year.  I've been wanting a hat like this for a couple of years now!

The Bow by Ed Pitchkites

"Here I am, a simple tool." A bent piece of wood
and a piece of string. I am called a bow and have been for many years. It seems I have come to my end.

You have chosen me for your use, but you have not accepted your obligations that go with me. It takes skill, strength and patience to do my job well. But, it is YOUR skill, strength and patience.

Some men have accepted these obligations and have done well and made me famous and respected. But now you have changed me. I am losing respect from my later cousin, the gun. I have even lost my identity. I don't even look like my former image.

You depend on me only. You want me to do all the work. You want me to think for you. When you fail, I fail. Then you blame me. I am not human. I am just a simple bent stick and a piece of string.

Please don't destroy me or my former image.

The pale pachyderm stopped at my house today, while I was in the yard shooting even.  He dropped off a freshly made flemish string just the right length for one of my vintage Bear bows, a pair of camo trousers (I'll have to gain a bit of weight and grow a few inches first though), a nice leather arm guard (did you make that?), and a calf skin tab.  Very generous, thank you Steve (macksdad).

Fletcher,

Thanks a bunch.  Found a box with some Ribtek's, Ace Broadheads, a dandy knife and sheath, a perfectly sized black wool sweater and a chestnut.
Great site, Great guys
Appreciate it,
Ben

One of two packages should be at Jeff's in Wisconsin on Monday.  The other should be just a couple days later.  I didn't think to wrap in wrapping paper.  Hmmm.

Hi Ben, that's not a chestnut, it's a Lucky Buckeye from Morgan Co. IL.  Great that the sweater fits; that was a real poke and hope.

P.S.
Mudd, I just wanted to take a minute to say thanks for putting this together.  What a hoot and it's fun to see the posts here on what the elephant is delivering. The old saying is that it's better to give than receive probably apply's to what I've seen here. As was mentioned before, it seems like everyone here wants the recipient to feel like it's Christmas Day.

"The White Elephant has stopped accepting entries and now will spending her remaining time out of the pen just doing deliveries.

Once she's finished that job she will return to her pen.

God bless,Mudd"

I got Sean B's box and my wife has Powducks box ready to go out in the morning first thing. USPS.                                            I hope i don't get in trouble for this long post, but i feel compelled to acknowledge this in public, to once again let people know there are very good people on Trad gang. I have been blessed in the past by them and once again i have been blessed. Wasn't having the best of a day when the mail lady brought to the door a box from Phrogdrvr. He did a little research on me, and what i found really made all my pain go away. First there was a K-Bar knife in it, not any K bar knife, but one he had while over in Irag.Yes i have a lot of custom knifes, but this one is so very special because a man who served my country carried it doing so. Might not mean much to some, but to me it does. Will dependently be on my side.  Also in the box was a knife sharpening kit, zwickey broadheads and very nice wool hat to keep my bald head warm. When i got to the bottom of the box there where some very special feathers and a gift from a Owl. He researched well,as the owl is a animal i admire deeply. Last in a bag was a gift from his daughter. A handmade braided bracelet that she made, she felt compelled to add something to the box. It is very nice.. What a very special daughter you have there Phrogdrvr. I am so honored to have been blessed by these spiritual items..The bracelet i now wear will remind me that there is still beautiful people out there and most of them here on Trad Gang.

Just got my package in the mail from Tom P. Wow, what a thoughtful guy you are Tom. Tom owns Petty's Custom Leather Goods, and obviously does some fine work. I opened the package and first pulled out a leather hip quiver. Then I pulled out a heavy leather adjustable arm guard. If that wasn't enough he also sent a book by Jim Hamm-Ishi&Elvis. Very generous of you Tom. Thank You

My package will be sent out tomorrow.
