They are on the move here in NY already. Cant really say that they denned up for long to begin with as we had no snow and food was plentiful. Good luck fellas.

Had an amazing 2012 season! Passed on a gorgeous bear the first night in the stand, if it were the last week I probably would have taken him.
Had bear action every time I was on stand, even had one nice shooter in, couldn't stand up before he got into the bait, he stood there broad side for the longest time only 5 yards away, I felt he was waaaaay to close to even blink let alone try to stand up for a shot! He just turned away & disappeared into the bush never to be seen again!!!
I got lots of pic's of several shooter bears at the bait throughout the season, but one bear stands out more than the rest....

Just found out today....I'll be headin up to Manitoba again this year with my Dad and youngest Son. I'll be bringing my Cari-bow Slynx 55@28, CX Heritage w/200 grain VPA.

Went to Quebec last year and had little success for spring bear. I will buy a bear tag when I go moose hunting in the fall but that is about all the bear hunting for me this year.
