pig hunt tommorow
« on: March 27, 2013, 09:21:00 PM »
Tommorow I am going to some public land where I have a small lease that bacjs up to.  They have been logging a bunch of the dead wood out that died from the drought we have had here in north east TX.  Im going to find some pigs and see if the logging is effecting any of the game.  Ihave all day so I plan to take my time and take some pictures, notes and kinda take yall along with me.  My goal this year is to be a better hunter so I am going to go out as much as I can, forget about all the hype gear, foc, super speed, and high tech gadgets.  So I will let yall know how things come along tomorrow from tume to time.

Good luck!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Still no piggies. Not even a squeal. Doing some stumping here and there. I have found that will tell you more about your bow and arrow than a scale and calculated ever will. It's a lot more fun also. Little bit longer then I got to head in for dinner with the folks.

Well it was a bust today. Didn't see a thing. But I did learn a lot about some new blunts and had lots of fun. So maybe next weekend me and flyboy will make it happen.
