Southern Illinois. A selfbow, my plains style quiver, some heavy woods arras, and some wide Ace heads. I get to do that on my own piece of heaven now and it is the best life   :campfire:

Robert you could live at Ft Stewart, just stop in and see Uncle Sam. They would even pay you to live there and all the free camo clothes too. You're not that old brother, I'm sure they would welcome you.

Hawaii is where I'd want to be. I'm tired of the cold but I'd miss bear hunting.  Harrison HHC and 600 gr Sitka arrows with Mangus I broadheads.

Alaska and mountain west sound really great, but for opportunities and long seasons I'd have to seriously consider Arkansas or Missouri.  Couple good D/R longbows and and a large stash of fir shafts.

Since its hypothetical, I'd just move in with RC and go to his spots and shoot his stuff........

OK, I'll play to......Some place out west where there are lots of deer, elk, bear, and in traveling distance to Javalina and pigs. As far as one bow....that might be tough, maybe a 2 piece  longbow 50#@30", cedar arrows and 2 blade heads. Most likely a Safari Tough quiver or a Hill Style back quiver........now when is the next Power-Ball...LOL!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Here in my back yard in Pa, with my Schafer and bow quiver. Pa is becoming the next big buck state in the USA. Just look at all the photo's guys are posting on other threads. Why would I want to go any where else. LOL. Everyone is saying the wolves are killing them off out west. Why would I want to go out there. Maybe for a vacation, That rights this is a dream. Wake me up when it's over. LOL.

Oh why not, it's a slow day.

If I had all the time in the world...
I would obviously perfect my selfbow making skills and I'd have a wicked osage longbow. I'd also have time needed to make a perfectly tailored St Charles style back quiver out of a coyote pelt....

Now where to live...
I know, it would be in Michigan! I'd use my unlimited money to rig the Pure Michigan Hunt drawing and I'd hunt elk, bear, and whitetails every year!

It's kinda fun seeing what other folks would pick!

Hunting Vacation:
State: Alaska in the summertime
Bow: My Sarell's Sierra but in a 2-piece design
Quiver: Kanati Dual Arc
Why: Majestic, pristine wilderness with game species that would be fun to hunt and are reportedly very tasty... plus that's a dream trip

Hunting Location to Live:
State: Arkansas
Bow: My Sarell's Sierra but in a 2-piece design
Quiver: Kanati Dual Arc
Why: Low cost of living, moderate climate, better than average hunting/fishing/hiking opportunities, able to live in a very rural setting but drive a larger city in under an hour for entertainment/shopping/major medical procedures if needed/etc, family is there, friends are there, it's truly a fantastic place to live for an outdoorsman.
1pc and 2pc Sarrels Sierra Mountain Longbows - both 53.5lbs @ 29"

That's it, just remember it's all hypothetical!
I'd choose the State of Bliss.

A brand new Red Wing Hunter and Jack Bowers Side-stalker quiver.

I do that now - walk out my log ranch to hunt large, medium or small game.  So I'd invest those funds in a newly paved driveway.

Hmmmm.  I can hunt for whitetail from Oct to mid Dec.  That's almost three months.  Small game is unlimited year-round (for woodchuck and red squirrel).

I guess I'd better stay in New York.  Trout streams, deep water in the Finger and Great Lakes, good apples and few posionous snakes, chiggers, fire ants, the two big cities haven't figured we're here west of the Hudson.  Why move?     :archer:

There is a place for all God's creatures....right next to the potatoes and gravy.
