Have them on both of my bows. Have shot them exclusively for a few years.

Spectacular.  The difference between an SBD 6 strand and dacron is night and day.

I use them on all my personal bows and the ones I build get an 8 unless the customer wants a 6.    Very nice strings.

I shoot better with a minimum of 10 strands.

Shot them for a while and never had any problems. However, they just don't agree with my eyes, so I went to an 8 strand.

I have them on my Pronghorns. They are quieter I think and seem to be more efficient, but that is just my opinion.

I will say I do change the string more frequently because I do believe there is less margin for wear and tear on the string.

i shoot his 8 strand due to bow weight, but have them on both my bows, its unbelievable how much they quiet a bow but will change your tune a little as they are a more efficient string as well...

I put a 6 strand on my B.L. Ultimate, really silenced the bow. I like the SBD string.

I have 6 strand on my longbow (47#@30").  Great performance and quiet!  Can't go wrong with SBD.

In a hunting bow I like a little more cushion in case of an accidental slip of the broadhead. If I cut a strand or two on a 12 strand string I still have 10 left to finish the hunt.

Very nice performing strings     Be sure to measure your old string correctly as there is not much room to adjust by twisting .

I moved over to SBD a few years ago and I didn't look back. I use the 6 and 8 strands strings. SBD strings are exceptionally well made and perfrom exceptionally well. The stringsilencers they offer and install are great too.
And Piere is a pleasure doing business with.
Higly recommended!

I love the SBD strings and have 8's on all my bows. I had one 6 strand and just didn't care for such a skinny string. I actually didn't think it was a quiet a the 8, but it was probably more the tone difference than sound volume. The serving also slipped some and I have never had the slightest movement on an 8. Probably just a fluke, but I will stay with the 8's.

I have used the 6 strand but moved the 8 strand for no real reason.

I shoot 10 GPP with a 6 strands SBD string and that set-up is fantastic. I use SBD 6 strands strings for a hybrid longbow and a very fast 3-pce recurve. Super fast, quiet, no stretch and they last long! I am using those 6 strands strings for three years now for my lighter bows and I am totally happy with them.
Keep in mind that 6 strands are only good for lower poundages till 53 lbs. Above that you'll have to use an 8 strand. If you shoot as low as under the 9 GPP, I would move over to an 8 strand.
And make sure you give the right lenght to Pierre.

What kinds of draw weights are you guys shooting with skinny strings? And does anybody know what string material SBD uses?

Love the strings but would like to see the serving just a little higher. My square goes beyond the serving on top.
