figured bubinga on truck, another figured Bubinga on target, Macassar ebony on grass. I have some ebony veneer that is very dark almost black, I won't use it in a bow limb..I like the piece I used in this bow..

I have an Assenheimer that is mostly marblewood with macassar ebony. It looks good.

I love my all macassar Tall Tines.  What could possibly go better with it than itself.

Macasser goes well with so many. My picks would be... Zebra, bocote, tiger myrtle, maybe even a walnut burl.

Good tigerwood looks great with macassar, I have built several bows with that combination. Koa is good and so is black myrtle myrtle burl.
God bless, Steve

Have you thought of getting colored fiberglass and having snake skins installed? Just another option.

Bacote would be my choice--the right combination of dark figure and lighter toned background.

Alright, I just got home from work at 2am (I'm a bartender) and saw an email from Jim of Black Creek bows. He has been patiently fielding my questions and indecision for the last few days and he got a hold of some absolutely incredible boards.

Check it out, obviously this is what I'm going to use! This Siren is going to be something else, that's for for sure.

It's some black limba veneers I had stuck back.  Was thinking about using them on my next bow.  But you how it goes the customer comes first, lol.  He wants them on a one piece siren.

Holly Crap those are freaking sweet.  Can't wait to see how the clear and glue brings out the color.
