Hi guys,
I've been playing with an Excel riser and Winex limbs for a few months and it is growing on me.  I have been shooting an NAP elevated rest and have a love hate relationship with the thing.  Like the adjustability, forgivenes, ability to shoot vanes, etc. etc. but and I am really missing the simplicity of shooting off the shelf.

For those of you that have set up your metal risers to shoot off the shelf, did you build it up so that the arrow aligns with the berger hole or just leave it right down on the bottom of the rest?  I've heard of using furniture pads or something similar.  Any help, recommendations, and pictures would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!  Scott

I had mine right on the shelf, small piece of leather shoe lace to elevate a bit ,then velcro over that.I glued a leather washer on a 5/16-24 bolt that I thinned the head down on a grinder. That gave a bit of adjustment on my center shot.....worked for my Excell!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I have the thick furniture pads on mine Scott. It's set up a little shy of center and as low as the pad will allow it. Works great for me.

I did mine just about like ron w said. Worked pretty slick.
