Finished A New Bow Design
« on: April 21, 2013, 08:21:00 PM »
I started a new 3-peice design in the summer of 2012 and had a few learning experiences along the way.  After I finished my new spine tester design I went back to finish this one in time for the Chamberlin Ranch Traditional Rendezvous last week.  A lady I use to work with had given me this incredible piece of quilted maple and I finally figured out what to do with it after having it for several years.

The bow is 64" and 47# at 30".  It is great for shooting all day long.  The limbs are double carbon over maple cores.  The finish is 3 coats of gloss Thunderbird then wet sanded and polished.

This one turned out so sweet I christened her "Maple Syrup".  It seems pretty fast, some day I will buy a chronograph.

I like it and I'm picky. That is one nice looking bow. In fact there is one I built for my wife about 5 years ago on my rack that is almost a clone. Great job. You have those heavy D limbs working great.

God bless, Steve

Good looking bow Kevin.... Haven't seen you around for awhile. Good to see you are still building some stuff.

I bet that thing IS quick.... What type of carbon are you running on that one?
