New Vixen arrived Sat.

Got my new Vixen Sat. Wow! James really does nice work. James is a master bowyer for sure. This bow is all you could ask for in a Hill-style bow. I'm a recurve shooter at heart but I,m lovin it. I've owed this style of longbow in the past, but the Vixen far exceededs what I had before. I'ts dead in the hand and it spits an arrow out with authority. James is top notch, a good guy all around. The bow has black glass on the back and clear on the belly, revealing the yew lams. It has boo cores. Draws smooth and hits hard, what more could you ask for.Its 50@28 and 66in. with a staight grip. I've been trying to post pics but I'm not having any luck so far.

Greg, if you email them to me at
[email protected]
I'll post them for you.
I absolutely love my Vixen. It is, IMHO, the perfected straightlimbed longbow. They have everything you could ever want in a straight stick. But I love my whole Berry Harem

I've got my heart on one of James Argos in 68" and 40# but, it's just a dream for now.

Shinken, the riser wood is Brazilian walnut. It may be hard to tell from the pics, but it has some dark streaks running through it. It matched up real nice with the yew.

That's a great looking Hill Style longbow. Have you decided what arrows you will be shooting?

hawaii,
I've been experimenting with what I have. 2016,2018,35/55GT,woods they all flew decent, but the 2018s flew the best with the GTs a very close 2nd. I have'nt had a chance to bare shaft test any so far.

WOW! That is a beauty. I have my Vixen shooting GT 3555's with weight tubes and weed whacker wire to make them pretty heavy (over 600 grns). She seems to love the heavy arrows.
Have fun!
