Hey Gang,

I left out mentioning one important part to our goat hunting adventures.

Staci and I just returned from the local taxidermy to pick up her European Mount.  Just so happen, this taxidermist is a good friend of mine.       ;)

Jr, as most refer to him, took me hunting with him back in grade school.  He's the guy who showed me the ropes to the area where Staci and I are now hunting.  Without  his guidance, we'd be clueless up there right now.  Because of Jr, I too harvested my first billy when I started bowhunting.
Now, Staci and I spend countless hours in Makua, enjoying every minute of it.  It only seemed fitting that we take Staci's first harvest to Jr, where she got to meet the guy who was responsible for making all of this happen.
It's been a "full circle" for me.  From being mentored from Jr, to then taking Staci up there and finally for Staci to meet Jr and have him capture the moment of a lifetime through his taxidermy work.

Here's the link to the first story for those who haven't seen it.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

WOW.  The whole deal is very special. The "heart" of this trad pursuit.

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.
