Tuning Question
« on: April 24, 2013, 08:18:00 PM »
In the process of trying gap and 3-under and so far I am pleased with the results.  For peace of mind, I shot some bare shafts along with fletched arrows to see if anything has changed.  I shoot right handed.  Bare shafts consistently hit about 2 inches to the right of fletched arrows from 10-18 yards (18 is as far as I can shoot in the yard).  I am shooting 2016s cut to 29 1/4 with 125gr tips.  Bow is 50@28.  I am hoping that adjusting the brace height might tighten them up but was curious what you all think?  Can that adjustment make the difference...is 18 yards enough distance to gauge how well it is tuned?  I appreciate any feedback

18 yds is fine though I prefer 20-25. I think your tuning has proved really good results and bareshafts are indicating a little weak which is what you want. I would quit tuning at this point and start fletching.    :archer2:
