Well Guys:
THe last I heard is that they were to be coming home sometime this evening.
As late as 10-11 pm tonight.
Have not heard anything yet today, but that is the last that I heard.

Well, we are back...unfortunately like all the other archery hunters we saw there on on our way home, no moose were killed. We had rain every day except 1, tent threatening winds, leaky tents, 1 day of nice weather that was 33c or about 90F!!! ;) , mud, bog and muskeg that would swallow you whole; but it was FUN.

We saw 2 moose while there, saw some tracks, saw quite a few bears, but no shots.
Serge's baits were not hit, our camp was not even hit by bears, even though we made a huge pile of bait the nite before we left( all of the food that would not make it home).

Serge says it was from them being shot at for a month and a half by logging road-"hunters" with rifles.
I'll give a full report with pics later.
We were only 180 miles or so from James Bay.
If we had of wandered north a few miles; there is nothing, no roads, no houses, nothing but a massive boggy watershed.

Our 1st shelter set-up...we didn't expect 80 kmh winds and driving rain, so we made a new one the day after it blew down.

Because the berry crop failed due to frost in June, I was packing bear spray in case we came across a nasty one; we never did though, they were terrified of anybody they saw.

We glassed the newer cuts , searching for moose and /or bears, you can see the water everywhere, one of the wettest summer and fall in the north in quite awhile the locals told us... :(

Serge looking at the cloudy skies that stayed with us for most of the trip, we also found some nasty looking power- snares behind our camp, we guessed for bears, they were pretty heavy gauge aircraft cable.
