Well, we are back...unfortunately like all the other archery hunters we saw there on on our way home, no moose were killed. We had rain every day except 1, tent threatening winds, leaky tents, 1 day of nice weather that was 33c or about 90F!!!
, mud, bog and muskeg that would swallow you whole; but it was FUN.
We saw 2 moose while there, saw some tracks, saw quite a few bears, but no shots.
Serge's baits were not hit, our camp was not even hit by bears, even though we made a huge pile of bait the nite before we left( all of the food that would not make it home).
Serge says it was from them being shot at for a month and a half by logging road-"hunters" with rifles.
I'll give a full report with pics later.
We were only 180 miles or so from James Bay.
If we had of wandered north a few miles; there is nothing, no roads, no houses, nothing but a massive boggy watershed.
