what are the diff between a bow that has 1)cut to centre shelf 2)a bow that has No cut in shelf at all?

I am refering to pro and cons in term of 1) spineing 2)easy to tune 3)shootability 4)stable..............etc

Thanks

a bow with a cut to center shelf will give you a wider variety of spine choices.....but with a bow that has no cut to center shelf will force you to to limit those choices.....in my first self bow my arrow was off by  like 5 or 6 pounds.....so it was pretty stiff  for my bow....which created terrible arrow flight....you have to match the arrow almost perfectly to your no shelf bows wieght for it to fly perfectly.

I can't think of any "cons" to having a bow cut to center, except (of course) if the design was weak and couldn't handle it.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
