Most aggressive reflex/deflex longbow?
«
on:

Quick question.
Of the 150 or so sure-enough longbow bowyers in the US, whose do you think is the most "aggressive" or "radical" design. That is, whose "deflexes" and then "reflexes" the most?
Thanks.

I've liked the Centaur design ever since it was the Selway Lil Mag. Not that much deflex, but strong reflex. Makes for a excellent shooting bow with great performance.

The Cari Bow Perigrine and the Centaur are about as aggressive as it gets. The Liberty Edge is pretty aggressive as well in an R&D.

You may want to dig out the "Aggressive hybrid longbow thread" to take a look. Do you want aggressive in strung or unstrung profile? There is a difference. Some bows like the osprey have lots of reflex unbraced but braces to almost straight limbs. While others like Omega retain a lot of that reflex after brace.

Looks like you will have a 150 answers here.
My dad sent me a link to a guy out in the west who I've never heard of before. I couldnt believe what he was making, and then drawing it 30 inches. Wish I remember his name.

If aggressive is defined while braced I think these are some good examples.
Black Creek Banshee
Dywer Endeaver
Thunderchild
Liberty Edge
Stewart Slammer Special
