Here are some capped and crested 2219s I made for a friend last year.  I did these just like I do my wood arrows other than I had to make the paint a little thicker.  Dipped in a tube and hung to drip dry.  The first two I did ran way to fast and left bare spots, so I thickened the paint.  They turned out decent.

I don't have any photos but I just did some 2117's. I just taped them off after cleaning the shaft well and then spayed them with 2 light coats of Krylon orange. Used orange barred feathers ....they look good!

I wipe down the part I'm crown dipping with 91% Isopropyl. After drying, mark off 9" from the nock end. I use Bohning products...first coat is white, second coat is any other color. You need a white base to bring out the colors, especially like me, florescents.

Hang them to dry, then crest, fletch and hopefully, kill something with them.
