"So There I Was...."

"So there I was..."

So there I was
Standing aloof
Looking down
At the print of a hoof
A little red
On a leaf did show
Pointing the direction
My target did go
Watch the minutes
Slowly pass me by
Let go the urge
To follow with a sigh
Got to wait
The appropriate time
To claim the trophy
That soon will be mine
Give thanks to the Creator
For the time that was spent
And the trueness of the arrow
From the limbs that were bent
And now the time has come
To take up the trail
And end the story
With a wonderful tale
Of how I was standing
There aloof
Looking down
At the print of a hoof...TW
