Who can tell me about Abbott Longbows??
« on: May 08, 2013, 03:35:00 PM »
Saw an Abbott longbow on the classifieds and it looks interesting. Anybody have one or has shot one. What's your thought on workmanship and performance. If you don't want to say it publicly you can send me a PM if you wish! Thanks for any input!!   :wavey:

If you do a search you'll find many threads concerning Steve Abbott's bows.
If you want the concise report: buy it.

Ron, Steve makes an exceptionally great long bow. Wish I still had mine except I got a 66" bow when I should have gotten a 68" for my draw length. You cannot go wrong with an Abbott!

I just got my 4th one a month ago. I have been a big fan for many years. I have never ever heard of someone not liking an Abbott.

If I cannot get Byron Schurg to make me a duplicate to go with my 57" Aspen, then I am going to buy one of Steves 58" Longbows as a backup. I think he is one of the few bowyers that offers a "D" shaped Longbow in a 58" length.

Ron, I don't know if this thread convinced you, but it made me take a look.  I found an Abbott in my draw weight on Stickbow.

Thanks for all the input.....the deal  on the the one I was looking at never came about.....But at the same time a RER Vortex at my poundage popped up and although a totally different type of bow I went for it.
