Id really like to put together some primitive arrows. Of course Id like to harvest the materials myself but I have no idea where to find shafts around here. I know Lowes and the niehbors yard are reliable sources but where else can I look? Ive got points and feathers and sinew covered just a lil stuck on the shaft department. Im near Portland btw...
Im gonna start a self bow next week too, well see how that goes...

Primitive Indian arrows were made of several materials, in your area look for "Red Osha" (spelling?) and wild Rose I've used both they make excellent arrows.
