Yep,
I should know in the next week or so if I'm going to be able to commit. I've had my fingers crossed so long, they're cramped in that position....I may not be able to shoot my bow!!!!

Well my wife took her horses down to Aiken on Saturday and I slipped a couple HH style longbows in the horse trailer... couple Paxton Talon Classic & Dave Johnson. I'll be in Aiken right after Xmas for the winter. Just checked the map, looks like a 3 hour drive for me. Might have to gets some practice hog hunting in around the farm first...but this sure sounds like a fun road trip.  Anyone coming down SC 20 out of Columbia?  I'd sure like to follow along and make this gathering...tippit

Tippit- I pretty sure I'll be making the trip.  We need to get Benjy on board with a hill bow!

It will not not take very much arm twisting for me, I just have alot going on in January. That's a good thing though!!!!

I do have some nice looking wood arrows (thanks to Blaine) that should work perfectly out of a Hill bow!

Still not sure if I can break away, but starting to see if I can box out the time.  Would love to see people again and a few new faces it looks like too.  Heck, maybe we won't get a foot of rain and there will be a little pork on the spit before the end this time!

Good luck with the knee replacement Harry.  Just means you'll be ready to go for the 2015 hunt.

Last year was rough Chuck. We had a lot of rain and only a few sightings. I think only 2 or 3 shots were taken.

Is this area normally pretty decent ? At least with pig sightings ?

I am trying to talk myself into a trip south, but first I have to build a bow.  I finally have time to actually take a trip like this.

I have never not got on pigs in a full day hunt there. Knawbone and I got on pigs 30 minutes out of the truck last year. He had already been on pigs two days in a row earlier ,then the bottom fell out and it rained for bout a month it seemed.RC

That stuff happens nearly anywhere.  Can't do much about it, cept roll with the punches.

Thanks guys.  Sounds like a fun time and getting to meet some of the crew makes it even more of a tempting offer.
