So do I HAVE to have a Hill bow to come to this?? Will an English longbow suffice?  Reason I ask is I just sold that forward Miller Cheetah that I had specifically bought thinking o this hunt.  I have a line on a nice Shelton but I already have my yew ELB and if I could get away without buying another bow...  :)   I mean the ELB is like the Hill bow great granddaddy right?? I was talking to Jesus yesterday, we're geared up and ready to go to. I had an awesome time last year meeting everyone, made some great new friendships.

Really looking forward to this hunt!

I've still got room in my popup if anyone needs a bunk.

I'll take the bunk threeunder.  I can't absolutely promise to be there, but things are looking up for me being there.

If that's not definite enough threeunder, i'll understand.  I'll bring my tent, no problems.

I just finished tuning some woodies to my new Miller. Hopefully a 55-60 cedar with 160 gr Magnus will do me proud on this hunt!

I'm going try and make it. Bit far out to make a firm commitment, but l'm going to try and get down to lower Michigan to visit my folks, and "piggy back" (pun intended!) the visit with this hunt. It would be great to meet all of you.

I'm thinking about this too,, I drove down to Ray Hammonds by myself from Mass, almost fell asleep at the wheel 4 or 5 times then had a guy attack me and try to jack my GPS at a rest area in NC.. it was all worth it though, but I was on my own at Rays so getting to learn from other hunters is important on my next spot and stalk hog trip.

I'm wondering if anyone from the north east wants to car pool and go in half on everything,, I like to rent cars for these long drives but I can even meet someone on the way and go with them and split the costs, ride shotgun, help drive or go in my rental,,,, considering this though and my Berry Morning Star should be nice and broken in too.

Hey Mike,, Jersey is on the way from Mass,,,let me know if you need a partner..

Hey Fred.  Looking forward to sharing a campfire and some good cajun food with you.  Will give you a call tomorrow 'bout the gator grip material!

Squirrel Bait, it will be good to see you again!  See if you can drag ol' Ray down with ya (a little birdie told me that he has a new Howard Hill being built)    :goldtooth:   !!

Last time shirts were designed and ordered around October or November last year. My opinion is the same design just different color shirts.

Since the time till the hunt is ticking away, I figured that was time to get serious about practicing on a hog target, it aint pretty, but the proportions are pretty close.
