So, hurt my shoulder, still recovering from the Rotator cuff tear surgery.  So, started out on a 33lb selfbow I made for my wife.  After 8 months, feeling good. Figured my days of shooting 58-65lbs are over.  So sold my 58lb zipper, and picked up a SXT 44lbs.

At first hated it.  Tried 1916 arrow and shot awful.  So figured why not a 2016, that's what I shoot my 50lb savannah. Seems stiff for a 44lb bow.  Tried 175gr tips, shot all day at the Balt. Classic, awful.  Looks like too weak.  Doesn't make sense.

So I followed what the bare shaft and broadheads said, and shot 125gr head,  Much better but still weak???  Dropped to 100gr head and perfect. Maybe a tad stiff.

I can't believe this thing is shooting faster than my 50lb savannah with same arrow.

I love this thing now.  Bill wasn't pulling my leg when he said the new rev limbs were fast.

The SXT is my favorite bow. Your right the Evolution limbs are very quick !!!!   :D

They are a powerhouse bow, I've gone back and forth about keeping mine since I shoot self bows more often, but everytime I get close to pushing it off my rack I hold on for dear life. They really are a great performer.

It the the ONLY bow for me. I shoot Axis 400's with between 145 and 200 grain broadheads and they hit with authority. Bills SXT design I feel offers everything.. grip, balance, "pointability", and a classy sleek look that just asks to be admired. Love it.

46# 64" SXT lb was one I finest blazing fast bows I ever shot and absolutely right it will take a stiffer arrow.  Sold it cause the carbon foam limbs weren't quite my thing.  I'd love to have another with boo or wood core limbs though.

I still like the extreme design.  I still have a 53lbs extreme, but this little 44lb is getting alot of attention until I can get back up to shooting 53lbs.

Sounds like you may not need to go back to 53#'s!
