First FISH - and a new boat... or toy
«

Got a new toy.. a Porta Bote. Thing folds up like a big surfboard. Anyhoo, loaded up the the kids and threw in a bow. Went down to Utah Lake which has a gillion carp and tried my hand. First shot of my first fishing outing and got this one. No record but it was fun. Got one more about the same size before calling it. When the lake is calm (yesterday) I saw a "raft" of who knows how many carp but didn't have the bow.
Used a firefly longbow with a AMS strapped to it.

Got it on my little trailer. I think I could get everything if I throw it on a roof and then put all the stuff on a hitch mount carrier if I get creative. Got it all set up used locally with motor etc. Looked brand new... until I got ahold of it.

Cool set up! That looks like a deluxe folder. I understand those big carp skins make good selfbow backing...

Yeah David I think I can use it for a drift boat on the Provo River too : )
I couldn't stand it... I got three more fish today.
Got to figure out a better way to hold the bow in the boat though.

That's an interesting boat. What's a fold up boat cost?
