Resharpening question?
« on: May 27, 2013, 09:49:00 PM »
I was looking at the Magnus snuffer ss and I was wandering how hard is it to sharpen stainless steel? I was also looking at the vpa 3 blade, if anyone has had experiences with these heads I would appreciate it if you could let me know, thanks!!

Agreed, VPA are the easiest broadhead I've ever seen to sharpen, no experience with the SS.

Stainless is pretty soft compared to most steels.  You won't have any trouble sharpening it.

Either will/can be easy to sharpen.

Stainless is generally softer like Jeff said...and can be a little harder to get a super fine edge..but Dr's use SS all the time..

I REALLY REALLY like VPA 3's. took me a bit to learn how to sharpen a 3 blade..but now it's soo easy..I actually have fun doing it.

I honestly have NO plans to ever use another type of head.

I can't speak for snuffers as I've never worked one.

Nice thing about VPA's is they are flat and straight right out of the package. ...no "trueing" needed.
