More Nice Work By BW
« on: May 28, 2013, 08:49:00 AM »
I really enjoy seeing other Trad Gangers post pics of their new bows.  It gives me ideas of wood choices for bows on my wish list and just shows off the amazing talent of the Bowyers we are so fortunate to have.  I though I'd share some pics of my new Tall Tines I just received from Brian Wessel.

The bow is 62" long with the long riser and medium limbs. Riser is Ziricote with a wave of Bocote with a checkered grip cut 1/4" lower than Brian's standard grip.  Limb veneers are Bocote as well. It pulls 56 lbs at 28" (about 58-59 at my 29" draw)

I was able to paper tune and bare shaft tune it  last week and had a chance to sneek away  to the range for a couple hours this weekend.  I was very impressed...it shoots even beter than it looks.

Paper Tuning...Don't worry there's a target on top of that tool box  :bigsmyl:

I always preface "BW" with "young" for Brian so as not to confuse Uncle Barry...   :D

That is a sweet, sweet combo.  Zircote like that is very rare.

That is going to look  REAL     good laying on top of that big bull!
