Cloudyness/ hazing on vintage bow limbs

Hey Guys,
I'm trying to find a nice vintage recurve to purchase and have refinished and I have seen a couple with black glass that have cloudy/hazy spots on the limbs. Are these spots only in the finish and will they be removed by sanding off the old finish and refinishing, or are they a structural problem?

Yes, that is likely in the finish itself and will disappear when the finish is removed. There are some great vintage bows out there. Just be warned - they can be very addicting!
