Check out my accidental trick shot
« on: June 02, 2013, 09:23:00 PM »
Did some back yard work today and gathered the bags in front of my targets. So at one point I decided to take a break and do some shooting.I went to shoot from my usual spot which is by the fence about 20 yards from the deer, hoping that the bags would give me a clear shot.

(close up shot) Well they didn't and I was too tired and bored to move them so I decided to shoot through them and see what happens. So I aim at the bags, which were about 12 yards from me,release,and..the first arrow in a perfect arch cleared the bags and went towards the target.I aimed a little lower thesecond time, but same thing. The arrow cleared.Third arrow same thing.I walked to the target and here is what I saw...

Mind that the last three months I haven't shot more than 4 times and in the little shooting I was all over..Maybe I should leave those bags there indefinetely?
From my cold,dead hands..

    :clapper:
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

It is easier to shoot a nice group at 12 than 20 yards apparently regardless of where they land.   :D

Fun.  It is amazing the arc that you don't see without something to shoot over.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
