I've had no problems in a stand with a 66" longbow. With a recurve, I prefer a 64".

66" in a Hill style, 62" for a D/R and 58" for a hybrid or recurve. I will admit that the shorter lengths are handy when hunting, but I generally carry the 62" D/R anyway.

I like 64" recurves. The ones I've shot draw smoother than even a 2" shorter 62" and shoot just as fast. I don't really notice the difference in length as far as hunting room...some bows just aren't offered in 64" is the only reason I would get one shorter.

Having enjoyed bows from a mere 54" to a lengthy 73", I've settled in on 62" recurves, 64" R/D bows, and 68" Hills to fit my 6'1 - 28.5" frame.

64 or 66" longbows are all I shoot. No problems with them from a stand.

I've been shooting a 56" for a year now and I am just as accurate with it as a longer one.

I'm 5'8 220lbs 26" draw and built like a fire hydrant. I use a 56" bow because anything longer and the string hits my chest due to the angle. I like my bow to be short and stout just like me.

I have owned different length bows from a short 52" Kodiak Mag to a 68" osage self-bow of my own making. I prefer my hunting and bowfishing bows to be 56" and/or 58". I wouldn't pass up a 60" bow if it suited me nor would I shun a 54" bow for the same reason. Anything outside of those measurements would most likely not be found in my bow inventory.

58"-60" for me though in the future I think I would like to get a hold of a really short bow say 52" and try it out of a stand.
