Striker Bows "Shoutout"......
« on: June 09, 2013, 01:11:00 AM »
Went to Cloverdale this weekend and shot a ton of bows.

Thankfully, I stopped by Rick Ellis' Striker Bow display.

I tried several of his bows and was absolutely impressed by his products!

His bows have grips that are unique in today's market and a welcome difference from other makes.  Slim, trim, quiet, stable, shock-free, smooth-pulling, and plenty of cast are words I use to describe his bows.

After drooling over his choices   :scared:  , I bought his "Stinger" model.   Rick was very patient and went out of his way to answer my questions on Friday.  Saturday, he and Robert (Rick's employee/apprentice also known as "Smoke"  :D  ) went out of their way helping me find arrows matched for the bow.

Saturday evening at home, I tweaked the brace height and nock point a hair this way and that, and.......I am happy to report that the bow shoots even better than it did at Cloverdale!!!

If you have the chance, TRY THESE BOWS.   I am glad I did!

Thanks a bunch Rick and Robert.   I really appreciate you guys and your bows!

Best regards, Skychief.

They feel great in the hand ! My Son ordered one from Rick a few years ago at the Harrisburg sports show and loves it . I have been told I have big hands , I use a XL bigshot glove and have to stretch it to break it in , that said I do a lot of manuel labor and everything I use shovels , sledge hammers , picks , trowels etc. have small handles , I can't shoot a bow with a big grip . That's why I also like black widows . I got a great deal on a used Striker and NO Mark I don't want to sell it back . Rick Ellis is as good as they get !

Sorry Brian, but, I am not a picture poster.

If you will go to the Striker website and look at the stock bows, the first one listed (45# Stinger) is the one that I bought.

Might hurry before they take it off the list, if they haven't already.

Just received some arrows and a string for the bow from Rick.   On time as promised!   Good guy/outfit to deal with.

I have been tuning the bow and it is shooting better and better.   No buyer's remorse here!

Thanks Striker, Skychief.

Thanks Skychief for all the kind words, as well as all of you other folks, it's always a pleasure working with you fine people. We are going to be at the Farmland Conversation Club in Winchester, IN this coming weekend, June 21-23, for the IBO Midwest Traditional Championship. If you're going to be there stop in, say hi and feel free to shoot some of the bows or all of them if you'd like LOL.

Thanks,
Rick

The fast back is a awesome shooting bow.  I got mine earlier this year and right from stringing it it shot like a dream.
