I got on a roll last night and before I knew it I had forgotten about the camera. My wife was at a concert and I had no one to do any live action shots.

Work will have me now. Progress over the next several days will be slow. 13 hour work days (travel time included)leave little time for much else.

Here's how I got the bottom oval. I used one of my wife's glasses as a guide for the width and trimmed the card stock oval down to get the length. Then traced onto leather.

I then measured where I wanted the holes and marked 36 spots 1/2" apart.

My apologies for the delay. Lots going on right now.

I have the first one finished and getting into shape. When totally dry I'll start the leather treatment process.

Neetsfoot oil or Olive oil and this...

If you're more into water repellancy, use mink oil.

This one is yours, Ben, btw.

Bona's is finished.

Off to the leather store once more and then I need to find or make some shipping boxes.
