Bear takedown red tip limbs

Can I shoot FF string on a bear takedown with the red tips?
Thanks

Knowledgeable folks are doing this all the time.  Just make sure the loops are padded.

Then there are those who would not do it

BTW, is this a Grayling set of red tips or
limbs from recent production? (2011 I think).  These newer red tips are FF approved for sure.

It is an older bow that I am trading for so I would believe that it is an older production.  They are on a mag riser with the latch system not the slide in type.
