CStick, mate this bird is call a Rosella Parrot. We've a few types of Parrots here in Oz.
Now back to the bush. Here is the creek line in question. All sorts of critters moved through this area. And all roads lead to Rome when it came to deer tracks as well.
This is a nest made by a bird call a Bower Bird. He does this to bring in his girlfriends, a bit like building a castle, than he collects all sorts of shiny objects, bits & bobs to put inside to brighten up the place. Anything from bottle tops, cloths pegs and even small toys are found in a Bower nest.
The following morning I spotted this young stag feeding all by his lonesome. A happy snap or two before the start of proceedings.
Have to rush now lads but more is on it's way.
