Outback Daypacken.. Updated Pics!!

Howdie all here in the Gang. Well thought I'd post up some pics and a bit of a story line on my last hunt out west to a fine spot I know.     :readit:

Part Two,

This fella was rather vocal in telling me where he was in the world and it was very much going to be his down fall. Ahhh but the wind, my kingdom for a breeze on the nose that will last for more than a few minutes.

As you can see his thoughts were on my intentions!    "[dntthnk]"

And some local Emus. Found me hunkered down having a bite to eat at midday.

Then I found this fella, bedded, but more on him later...

Opps now I've got to wash the car.

 Back soon, al

I noticed your hex blunt, i have had bad luck with them breaking arrows. No trouble with judo's just the hex. Also those deer have built in spots on them , not hard to pick one. It's not fair our deer are all brown.

Well the car is done and I thought I'd post some more before I started work today.

This is some of Black Widows handy work. My only hunting partner now-a-days, "Mr Joe Black" is his name and not a finer bow have I shot. Just love the KingWood too.

This little fella kept checking in on me throughout the morning. Must have been wearing something of his? He was not more than 6 feet from me most times.

The Midday heat and sun was starting to become to much for me in my little hide I'd made up and I'm about to slip into some of the shady areas for a snooze.

Stone Knife, mate Basalt rock kills all arrows! But I've heard the same thing before though.

 More soon lads.

Erik, here is the link for the footed arrow shafts.

 http://www.whisperingwindarrows.com/

I did not make up these as they were a gift from a fellow Tradganger up Montana way. I've started to foot my own though & it's good to have a sample to look at whilst working on mine. Kinda have the idea that's all I'm planning on shooting from now on too.
  :saywhat:

CStick, mate this bird is call a Rosella Parrot. We've a few types of Parrots here in Oz.

Now back to the bush. Here is the creek line in question. All sorts of critters moved through this area. And all roads lead to Rome when it came to deer tracks as well.

This is a nest made by a bird call a Bower Bird. He does this to bring in his girlfriends, a bit like building a castle, than he collects all sorts of shiny objects, bits & bobs to put inside to brighten up the place. Anything from bottle tops, cloths pegs and even small toys are found in a Bower nest.

The following morning I spotted this young stag feeding all by his lonesome. A happy snap or two before the start of proceedings.

Have to rush now lads but more is on it's way.

Hey Big Al - you're killing me man!  All our Yankee breathren are snoring away, so they will now be oblivious to this - but don't keep your Aussie mates hangin!#$%^&!!*

I can relate to the scenery so well - I feel like grabbing my bow and rushing off!!

I have never liked the shape of B/W's, but the timber selection and quality sure looks second to none!

Make sure you get another post in before you hit the cot - I will keep checking before I bail!

This is a great read, can't wait to see more.  Australia is a beautiful place, spent some time in Shoal Water Bay, and Rockhampton.  Lots of parrots, and roos out there. It was very cool.
