Dave,
We're hoping a bowyer steps up this year...alas, it is looking like that will not happen.
I had the pleasure of having Miss Faith for December last year. Awesome bow and awesome experience.
Do a search for Hope and Faith...Over the years, those bows have raised some serious money and garnered some serious mojo.

My Wife knows how much I enjoyed hunting with "Hope" a couple years ago. I told her no one has donated a pair yet. My thoughts is because it is a great deal of money and time for a person that makes a living from building bows to give up.She had a the great Idea of two bowyers giving one bow each. I know its easy to say when you don`t build them for a living but a good Idea non the less.
I am not a pro at building bows and the ones I build are usually butt ugly but I will either build a bow for the auction or buy one and donate it. I challenge you guys with a wall full of bows to do the same. You can`t take`m with you.RC

That's a great idea RC!
Dave,
Members who are interested in hunting with one of the bows volunteer. The fine staff here at tradgang, make the final decision on where the bows go for the months.
When the St. Jude's auction starts each year, the bows are placed in the auction. Members bid on the bows and the winner receives each of the one they bid on.
Each year's stories are truly a great read.
I'm fortunate in that I have the 2011 Faith bow. It will not be going anywhere.

Just spend a lot of time reading the yearly post - what an awesome idea for such a great cause. I'm glad I stumbled across this/these posts. I'll be waiting for the 2013/2014 announcement and I will throw my hat into the hopeful pool.

Just a thought - Might be kinda cool if some of our collectors had some usable vintage bows they would be willing to donate as Hope and Faith fill-ins. I think it would be neat to have one of the classic Bears, Groves, Wings...etc passed around and hunted with like the two gals have been in the past. Maybe today's Bear, Martin, DAS companies would be willing to donate two bows?? I've never had the pleasure of getting on the Hope and Faith list, but I would still hate to see this event fizzle out.

Those are great ideas RC and Burnsie,Both would be interesting... also it crossed my mind what if we, the Tradgang members each contributed $$$ to cover the cost of building hope and faith, take the financial burden off the bowyer...Then we too are apart of the experience whether we helped build($$), hunted with or bought($$) these fine bows? More ways for more people to be involved...Just a thought....It's all for the KIDS anyway!

I'd be willing to chip in to help a bowyer pay for the required materials, since they are already donating their time, effort, and knowledge, etc.
However, I do not and am sure other folks do not want to be asssessed, since everyone has different financial obligations. But I'd give what I could.

If I may make a suggestion, to save time, if a bowyer has some stock bows already built then maybe that would help get it going quicker?
I too am willing to pitch in some $ for materials costs.
Together we can do this.
Kepp this up top and updated if possible.
Thanks all.
