Simmons Tiger Sharks...Good Flight ???
« on: June 16, 2013, 11:23:00 PM »
My question is: Are they exceptionally susceptible to planing if a bow is a bit out of tune or a release is less than perfect?

I am interested in the Tiger Shark as I need a 175 grain head, by the way.

Also, are the vented models (like the Tiger Shark) very loud in flight?

Thanks a lot for your experience!

They fly awesome.  The concave design of the head makes them much less susceptible to planing than much narrower heads.  I know its hard to believe but at 1 9/16"s they will fly perfect - even he tree sharks at 2"s fly like a dream. Seeing in believing -dont take my word for it, just try them once.

The first time I received a pack of 2 inch tree sharks I almost had to laugh. "No way these things are going to fly" I thought. WRONG! They fly great!

Fly great, don't notice any noise, and leave a good blood trail!

I'm shooting 175 grain screw in Tigersharks.  Best flying head I've shot.

All the Simmon's heads fly great. The screw on 160 landsharks, 175 tigersharks, and the 190 treesharks all fly the same for me.LCH

I shoot treesharks.  I can't imagine a better broadhead for the game I shoot.

I have not shot the Simmons, but have shot the Centaur broadheads. Very similar design. They fly Amazing considering the size. Has to be something about the concave design.

I have not shot the tiger sharks, but I shoot the interceptors and have shot two of the others. All of them fly incredible. Best broadheads I have ever put on an arrow in my oppinion. Blood trails have been awesome. Including the last one where I made a poor shot on a bear. If not for that broadhead we probably would not have found that animal. Can't say enough about them.
